Carmella has proven she has the talent to write hit songs, 15 of her songs hit the Top 10 on the Independent Music Network Chart both Country and/or Mainstream. Fallen Heroes 9-11 co-written with Nelson Blanchard was Nominated by The Independent Country Music Association for ( Song of the Year ) in April 2012 .. On April 28th, 2013 Carmella was honored as The ( Female Songwriter of the Year) by the Cmg International Radio Network, Carmella + Nelson Blanchard also were honored as The ( Songwriting Team of the Year ) both Awards were received in Lebanon Tenn, at The Teddy Bear Festival to benefit The Vanderbilt Children's Hospital..Carmella was also awarded the Songwriter of the Year by them again in 2015. Carmella was Award The Country Female Songwriter of the Year by Fishing Country Now + Cowgirl Divas Radio in 2016 and 2017 .She also was Awarded the Country Female Songwriter of the Year at The Josie Music Awards held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville Tennessee in Sept of 2016 the following Year in 2017 Carmella and Nelson both took home The Josie Music Award for Rock/Classic Rock Song of the Year for Mirror Mirror which Carmella Wrote and Nelson Blanchard Produced and performed. Their Song "Where Is Our Sea, Blue Shining Sea? a song about The BP Oil Spill hit the Independent Music Country + Mainstream Chart, Nelson performed the vocals. Nelson is a Grammy Nominated artist with the Great Band Louisiana La Roux and a Louisiana Hall of Fame Inductee. Scott Innes (Voice of Scooby Doo) and CMA winner was gracious enough to perform the intro on the song. There Is Hope Records ( Musicians for Relief ) released a song she wrote ( Just Like Long Ago ) on their Charity released Cd titled ..There is Hope- (Disaster Relief USA ) (Homeless, Hungry, Crying in the Rain ) was released on their -Musicians For Oil Relief- Charity CD and Just Imagine the Storm on their- A Lack of Empathy Charity CD: The American Dream. Music For Relief originated amongst the members of the band Linkin Park. Nelson also performed and produced all three Songs. Carmella wrote or Co-wrote Songs on 5 Charity released CD. Homeless, Hungry, Crying in the Rain made Twitters Cast T.V's video of the week first week out. You can find songs Carmella has won a '"Suggested Artist" Award, Two "Honorable Mention" Awards a "Runner Up" Award and a "Semi Finalist" placement Award in 2010 from Vh1 Song of The Year.
